Trae Tha Truth on Artists Never Charging Him for Verses on “Tha Truth Pt. 2”

Trae Tha Truth chopped it up with VladTV ahead of the release of his upcoming album, Tha Truth Pt. 2, and he explained to us how he got features from the likes of T.I., Wiz Khalifa, Yo Gotti, and more without paying a fee. When asked about the free features, Trae explained that he has established true and meaningful relationships with artists over the years. He added that when it comes to his rap friends, his motto is, “I’ll treat you how I would treat you in the streets.”

Speaking about specific relationships, the “Takers” rapper opened up about his friendship with J.Cole, who suggested that Trae make the switch from solely doing mixtapes to releasing an album. Trae then touched on how he met Quentin Miller, who was in the news last year when Meek Mill accused him of ghostwriting for Drake. You can hear more of what Trae had to say about that situation and more in the above clip.
